The Montgomery County Community College Trustees have approved free tuition for the family of Bradley Fox, the Plymouth Township police officer who was killed while on duty earlier this year.
The college is offering up to 60 free credits to his widow, Lynsay, the couple’s baby daughter Kadence and their unborn child. Officer Fox graduated from the police academy at the college in 2007.
He had been pursuing a suspect who fled the scene of a three-vehicle hit-and-run in a stolen SUV in September, just one day before his 35th birthday.
Police say 44-year-old Andrew Thomas ambushed him and shot him in the head in an industrial area along the Schuylkill River Trail, near Conshohocken Road. Thomas then killed himself with two gunshots to the chest.
