The life of Steve Frederick will be remembered Saturday. Frederick passed away last Saturday at the age of 66. He was instrumental as band director in bringing the North Penn High School Marching Band to national prominence. Davis Giersch, who will conduct the music tomorrow, was with Steve during his last moments and someone in the room asked………..
“Steve, what song would you like to hear, we’re talking about Steve Frederick. So you’re thinking he’d like to hear Stars and Stripes. His response was Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog. So even up to the very end, his sense of humor was always there.”
Giersch was a guest on the AM-Edition this morning with Darryl Berger. Tomorrow’s tribute to Steve Frederick gets underway at North Penn High School at 2pm. A special gathering will be held for family and friends before the ceremony.
