The Penn State Nittany Lions sixth win in the last seven meetings with the Indiana Hoosiers moved them into the second round of the Big Ten Conference Tournament. The Nittany Lions got a fifeteen point and seven rebound effort from senior Jeff Brooks while shooting forty-six percent from the floor to lead them past Indiana 61-55. The Hoosier defense did hold senior Talor Battle to 13 points. Battle came into the night needing 20 points to pass Jesse Arnelle (2,138) as Penn State's all-time leading scorer. Battle will get another chance tonight when the sixth seeded Nittany Lions take on 3rd seeded Wisconsin. The Badgers, who drew an opening round bye, split the season series with Penn State. Wisconsin is ranked 13th nationally as well. Tip-off is slated for approximately 9pm. AM 1440 WNPV radio coverage begins 30 minutes before game time.
Former Pa. State Trooper Sentenced in D.U.I Crash
A former Pennsylvania State Trooper is headed to prison for a term of six to 23 months after pleading guilty Tuesday in connection with a D.U.I crash that killed 21-year-old, Robin Williams, a forensic pathologist from Philadelphia.
