The North Penn Knights needed extra innings but in the end earned their second state baseball championship in five years with a 6-5 nine inning win over Lower Dauphin. With one out in the ninth, Bobby Scott singled to left to score Eddie Posavec from second giving the Knights the walk off crown. North Penn, who trailed 3-0 after three innings, scored five in the fifth before the Falcons got one in the sixth then one in the seventh to tie the game. The North Penn defense was huge in the seventh getting out a a bases loaded jam with a force out at the plate. Scott went 2 for 5 while teamate Chris Kersey got three hits on five tries. Pitcher Dylan Borawski went nine inngs to earn the complete game win. North Penn finishes 18-10. Lower Dauphin, making their first state title game appearance, closes the season with a 22-6 mark.
