Farmers Market Reopening
The Lansdale Farmers’ Market opens for its second season on Saturday.
A member of the committee that runs it, Molly Daveler (pictured here), says they have a new location on Railroad Avenue this year.“We have tons more space over there, lots of shade, and it also gives us the opportunity to do a new children’s activity. On the first Saturday of every month we’ll be having a story time at 9:30. We’re very excited about it. We have a ton of new vendors this year, twice as many vendors, which we’re very pleased about, so lots of new and exciting things.”
She says the market is best-known for locally-grown fruits and vegetables, but it’s much more than that.
“We also have plenty of baked goods, herbs, honey. We have a lot of local crafters and people that do very fun artistic things.”
Daveler says the market will have a few early crops including spinach, lettuce and strawberries, along with plants and flowers. The Lansdale Farmers’ Market opens at 9:00 Saturday morning, June 12.
