Gaming Board To Parx: Do More About Kids In Cars

slotThe Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has told an official from the Parx Casino in Bucks County to do more about the problem of parents leaving children in their cars while they gamble. Five such incidents have occurred this summer.  The official said the casino checks parking lots frequently when it gets busy, and parents who are caught leaving children in cars are banned from further playing.  Board members say the casino can also warn patrons with signs and mailings, and Bensalem Police can use some of the money the township gets from the casino to beef up parking lot patrols.  It gets about $10 million a year from Parx proceeds.
