Borough officials are looking at raising money for Parks and Recreation Department programs by selling banner advertising during ball games at Weaver Field in Memorial Park. Borough Council Parks and Recreation Committee Chair Mary Fuller says they already have some interest.

“We were approached by someone that’s interested in advertising there.  His business is a good fit.  Currently the park rules and regulations prohibit advertising.

She says ads are allowed now at Little League games, but they are not bound by Parks and Rec rules, even though they are played on borough property.  Council could vote as soon as next month to change the rules.
