North Penn Superintendent Dr. Bob Hassler today announced he is leaving the district after 11 years at the helm. He'll join me Friday on Comment Please by Univest to discuss
his decision and provide his assessment of public education today. I'm not shocked by the announcement and thought it was inevitable after it was revealed he had applied for
another position in Arizona last year. I'm not in a position to judge the job he did. But he was never one to shrink from responding to anything that cropped up and he was as accessible as anyone who I dealt with in that post. Supers make big bucks, but the responsibility has to be something of a grind. There aren't many that stay in one place longer than Hassler these days. I look forward to our conversation on Friday.
