Lansdale officials have hired AMS Planning and Research to help determine the future of the former Performing Arts Center in the old Masonic Lodge Building on West Main Street. The borough is paying the company nearly $49,000 to prepare a comprehensive report. Borough Manager Timi Kirchner says the firm’s consultants can do exactly what Lansdale needs.
“They work with you to put a business plan together, and that was something very much emphasized by those that we called who were the references for them. Not only did they help communities determine what the purpose of a building was going to be, but they had a sound business plan in place so that it would be viable going into the future.”
She says AMS understands both the arts and entertainment business and the public process, and the report should be ready in about six months.
