The Kulpsville Lions Club has disbanded. It served the residents of Towamencin Township and Beyond for more than six decades, collecting 25-thouand pairs of eyeglasses for the needy and serving up 100-thousand sausage links during their twice a year breakfasts to benefit the youth of the community. Former Kulpsville Lions Club member, Donna Law says there just isn’t any new blood in the organization.
“Part of it was because we have an aging group and it was pretty difficult for them to come out to all the meetings still. It also got to be a little bit costly and we a couple of young members who are now empty nesters because the children are off to college, Mom and Dad are traveling and getting a new respect for one another, if you will.”
The Kulpsville Lions are donating club artifacts to Towamencin Township for display at the municipal building and the police station.
