A mile long stretch of County Line Road in Hatboro no has a new name,"2nd Lt. James P. Kelly Memorial Highway." Kelly was killed at the age of 23. Over the weekend, through the work of State Rep. Thomas Murt, a dedication ceremony was held. Nancy Morozin, Kelly's sister, says the event was uplifting, considering the sorrow and feeling of loss the family of 11 experienced on September 27th, 1965.
"Very sad memories, but it's a very good feeling to have him honored and we were always proud of him. When we have Memorial day picnics or 4th of July picnics, we always wear red, white and blue."
A bench dedicated to Kelly is located on the property of the Harold F. Pitcairn Wings of Freedom Aviation Museum, the site of Sunday's dedication event. State Rep. Thomas Murt, an Iraqi war vet, has been instrumental in bringing more attention to the scarifices that Vietnam Vets made for the nation and those who have served and died in oterh wars.
