Towamencin Township has come to an agreement with three electric providers. The Township signed a deal with Constellation for two traffic lights on Welsh Road. The Township’s additional traffic lights will be covered by an agreement with Nextera. The company will also provide power for the Township’s street lights. Direct Energy will work with the Township on providing electric to the Police station, Township offices and the Public Works Facility. The Township will see an increase in power for street lights. Towamencin Township spends about 115-thousand dollars a year for electricity.
