Local Cardiologist: Coffee In Moderation

Another coffee study suggests too much can have harmful effects, even early death. Four cups a day appears to be the red flag.  

“That stimulant increases heart rate, increases blood pressure and sensitizes you to certain rhythm issues and other things.”

That’s Sellersville Cardiologist, Dr. Todd Alderfer says, you don’t have to give up drinking coffee.

“The data would suggest that one or two cups of coffee a day is more good for you than bad for you.”

Dr. Aldefer was a guest on the AM-Edition Friday morning.
