The Montgomery County Treasurer’s office will hold an upset real estate tax sale Thursday morning at 10 in courtroom-a at the County Courthouse. County Treasurer, Jason Salus says, there was once 1300-hundred properties that were tax delinquent in Montgomery County.
“We’re down to about 450 properties now. two thirds of the folks that were delinquent have already made payment arraignments, which we think is very successful and a huge benefit to the county. There’s properties all over the county. Some are going for as low as 100 dollars, others will bid at 25 and 50 thousand dollars.”
Salus adds, unlike the previous Judicial Tax Sale a few weeks ago, buyers on these properties will be responsible for all costs associated with the properties, including back taxes and mortgages. Anyone who wants to take part in the upset real estate tax sale on Thursday is required to register Wed. at Montgomery County Tax Claim.com
