The aftermath of last week’s ice storm remains the subject of intense discussion. Peco’s Cathy Engle Menendez says, work continues to get back homes back on line.
“With thousands still without power, we’re working to get people back on line. We have help from crews around the country and Canada. We hope to restore most customers with electric power by tonight (Monday) or tomorrow.” Anger and frustration are at a boiling point for many Peco customers.
The Public Utility Commission’s Jennifer kocher says, the commission makes recommendations to utilities based on previous storms “If we feel there has been a violation of P.U.C. regulations or Public Utility Code, we do have the ability to go back and fine a utility or mandate certain types of improvements. kocher says, the P.U.C. does consider the size of a storm before assessing fines.
