Electric Customers have filed complaints of unusually high electric bills. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is taking a closer look.
The P.U.C has received more than 15-hundred complaints. P.U.C. Chairman, Robert Powelson says, fines will be issued if any wrongdoing is discovered.
“If that supplier acted wrongly in selling that product, we’re going to find out about that and like we’ve done in every one of these cases, we are going to take action.”
Customers on variable rates can get out an electric contract, but early termination fees can range form one to 300 dollars.
