In an effort to be prepared for retiring workers and turnover, Montgomery County will hold an open house in two job categories.
The County is building a list of job candidates for future hiring.
“Two particular positions that we’re holding the open houses for are correctional officers and 9-1-1 operators at our emergency operations center.”
County spokesman, Frank Custer, says the open house for correctional officers will be held Saturday 8an to noon. The open house for 911 operators also runs Saturday from 8am until 4pm. The open house is happening at the Correctional Facility and Public Safety Campus, 5060 Eagleville Road. The starting salary for correctional officer is 36,752. 911 operators earn a yearly salary of 34,788.
