Coping with cancer is the subject of a new book from the man who constructed the 1983 championship Philadelphia 76ers.
Pat Williams says, it’s been a tough three years since he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, but so far, experimental drug therapy has come through.
“I feel good. I’m doing well. The doctors tell that the treatments have helped and there’s no sign of the cancer. I have a good mental attitude and faith helps me as well. I also prepared myself for this battle by being and staying in shape.”
Williams’ new book, “The Mission is Remission..Hope For Battling Cancer.” is available now in books stores. Williams went for a routine physical in January of 2011. Blood tests revealed that something was wrong with his blood. Doctors told him he had Multiple Myeloma. Williams urges people to get a yearly physical.
