New York Times National Security Correspondent, Mark Mazzetti says, the CIA has changed in the post 9-11 world.
Mazzetti outlines the agency’s change of course in a new book called “The Way of The Knife.” Mazzetti says, while the CIA still gatherers information, it’s become more of a military unit in carrying out missions.
“Generally, people have embracing this situation of lower risk. In some cases, a robot war with drones. But that doesn’t mean that it comes without cost or consequences. All wars have consequences, but I do think President Obama has seen where the public sympathy is and sort of embraced that.”
Mazzetti says, the CIA has thrived under the Obama Administration more than it did while President Bush was in the White House.
