Montgomery County officials are giving the North Penn Commons Project in Lansdale a boost.
They have approved using a 375,000 state grant for affordable housing for seniors that Advance Living Communities will build adjacent the North Penn Y.M.C.C. on East Main street. County Director of Adult Mental Health Services, Pam Howard last week told the County Commissioners the rental accommodation agreement that is part of the deal will ensure that some of the units are reserved for seniors with developmental disabilities.
“The use of those dollars will provide a 30 year agreement, so that three united will be targeted from seniors that will be referred from the Dept. of Behavioral Health.”
North Penn Commons is a collaborative project between Advanced Living Communities, the North Penn Y.M.C.A., The Peak Center and Manna on Main Street.
