The boil water advisory has been lifted for 6 municipalities in Montgomery county.
The municipalities include, Whitmarsh, Whitpain, Worcester, Lower Providence, East and West Norriton.
“Right before noontime today we received test results back on the second set of tests that were taken. No sign of bacteria or water quality issues.
Pennsylvania American Water Spokesman, Terry Maenza says, the water conservation advisory has also been lifted. 149 businesses can now re-open. Montgomery County Spokesman Frank Custer says, some precautions must be carried out before businesses can open.
“Thoroughly clean all food contact surfaces. Their equipment with water line connections has to be flushed and cleaned and sanitized. They have to remove and replace any water filters that they have. They have to run water through a regeneration cycle and they have to flush drinking water fountains for five minutes.”
The boil water advisory was issued late Tuesday evening.
