Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Pat Toomey weighs in on the turmoil at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Toomey says, Eric Shinseki made the right move by stepping down as Secretary of Veteran Affairs. Toomey says, two things need to happen.
“One of them is a bill introduced by Senator Marco Rubio of Florida that I’m a co-sponsor of, which will allow the secretary to fire senior managers for wrongdoing.”
Toomey, a guest on the WNPV’s AM Edition Monday morning, says he’s crafted another bill allowing veterans to sue employees at veterans hospitals if they are denied proper treatment.
