Airports in Montgomery and Bucks counties will receive needed funds to make repairs.
Penndot’s Erin Waters Trasatt says, it’s a yearly allocation provided by Federal Block money.
“In Bucks County, Doylestown will receive more than 50,000. Quakertown will receive nearly 450,000. In Montgomery County, Pottstown Municipal will receive 1.7 million and Wings Field will receive nearly 500,000. The airports will use the money for removing obstructions, usually trees or rehabilitating runways and appends.
The state matches the money through Pennsylvania’s Aviation Development Program.
