A new operations manager will start working in the office of the Montgomery County Commissioners on August Fourth.
Corrie Emerson was hired Thursday afternoon. Emerson has a background in PR. Commissioner Chairman, Josh Shaprio says bringing Corrie Emerson on board is part of a restructuring that has consolidated and shifted responsibilities within the office of the three Commissioners, saving taxpayers about 45,000.
“I’m pleased about that, You’ve seen the three of us focus of that. We want to get the best possible staff and we want to create a system that is effective and efficient and in his case we were able to do so and save taxpayers money in the process.”
Emerson will earn about 59,000 dollars a year in her new position.
