Supermarkets Will Change The Customer Experience in 2012

The traditional supermarket experience continues to evolve and change. Phil Lempert, an expert in supermarkets says, in 2014 consumers are likely to see some changes at the end of the aisle and cooking inside the market

“You’ll solution centers at the end of an aisle. Where you might see a can of Hunt’s tomatoes, Kraft cheese all packed together with a recipe card, you can just pick it up and bring it home. We’re also seeing our community cooking centers, where our friends are cooking right next to each other.”

LEmpert says, it’s hands on for the consumer, unlike the old model, where a chef or store employee would be there doing the cooking presentation. Lempert was a guest Thursday morning on the AM Edition.

Plans for Madison Lot Approved in Lansdale

Lansdale Borough Council has approved land development plans for the seven-and-a-half acre Madison Parking Lot.   Developer Equus Capital Group is putting up two multi-story buildings with almost 250 high end apartments and about 20,000 square feet of retail space between them.   The buildings would be constructed one at a time to avoid saturating the market.   Equus is buying the Madison Lot from the Borough Parking Authority for a $1 and investing about $51,000,000 in the redevelopment of the property.

Former NFL Player and WNPV Sports Host Talks About Bullying

The highly publicized problems in the Miami Dolphins locker room concerning Jonathan Martin’s accusations that his teammate, Richie Incognito, bullied and harassed him was the subject of conversation Wednesday on comment please by Univest. Now, former Philadelphia Eagle, Sean Andrews, is pointing the finger at Donovan McNabb, saying that the birds former signal caller, bullied him and spread rumors about him. Former NFL player and member of WNPV sports broadcasts, Raheem Brock says, he experienced it, but considers it to be a part of the NFL culture

“When I was a rookie I Hugh Douglas and Corey Simon and all of those guys talking trash about me. I just took it and learned.”

Brock was drafted by the eagles, but ended up playing the  for the Colts. Brock remembers that the fastest way to end the taunting was to have good practices and good games. McNabb has denied bullying Andrews, who played for the eagles from 2004 to 2010. Andrews suffered through injuries during his career and was treated for depression.

“Winter Wonderland” Theme for Lansdale’s Mardi Gras Parade

Lansdale’s Mardi Gras parade is scheduled for this Saturday in Lansdale. Leigh Anne Tursi has been working with the 63 year event for the last 21 years. Tursi says, this year’s theme is “Winter Wonderland”. A button depicts the theme.

“It has some snow and a beautiful blue background and there’s a snowman with his footprints as he’s walking away.”

Tursi adds, the Lansdale Mardi Gras parade will start at 1pm Saturday. The Hilltown Fire Company will escort Santa Clause through Lansdale. Turso was a guest on the AM Edition Wednesday morning.
