Some Work Ahead Before Parkhouse Deal is Finalized

The Montgomery County Human Services building in Norristown has been sold. It changed hands on Friday, during a transaction of more than 17 million dollars with a property management company. In the meantime, settlement has been delayed for the County nursing facility in Upper Providence. It’s under a 39 million dollar agreement of sale with Mid Atlantic Health Care. Commissioner Chairman, Josh Shaprio says some environmental and structural issues have been raised by the buyer while doing its due diligence.

“This has been a very amicable process and I don’t want to suggest any otherwise. An engineer has been doing work at Parkhouse already. So we can very quickly and easily take a look at some of these issues and compare all the different notes and make a final judgment on how to deal with these few remaining, outstanding issues.”

Shapiro expects a quick resolution of the issues, though a date for settlement remains to be announced.

Towamencin Approves Amendment For Business Center

“As a conditional use, anyone proposing that use, would need to come before the Board of Supervisors and indicate very specifically what the use would be and the square footage that it would occupy.”

A company that already does business in Towamencin wants to expand its operations in the Township by putting together Dental Surgery Devices in the partially vacant building that used to house office space for Clemens Market
