State Sen. Rob Wonderling has received a cozy position. He's been handed the CEO job
at the Greater Philly Chamber of Commerce. Unfortunately for his constituents in
Montgomery and Bucks Cos. this comes shortly on the heels of Wonderling becoming chair of the Senate's Transportation Committee. That post might have greatly impacted the region---not now. Wonderling will probably be paid 2 or 3 times what he's currently making and he's got a young family, so good for him. His decision now triggers a scramble for his seat---Commish Bruce Castor is considering a run, State Rep Bob Mensch
is in and more are likely to get into the pool prior the GOP endorsement. The D's also get
a shot, but I'd expect the 24th seat to remain in republican hands, but these days you never know.
