In 1972 my parents and I went to Florida in February. While spending a week in the
Sunshine State, this area got hit with 5 to 6 inches of snow. I remember how upset I was,
because the previous two winters we had very little snow and now I miss my best chance ride my under-utilized sled. Now 38 yrs later, I long for those snow-less winters or the
prospect of being a thousand miles south when a snowstorm hits here. With the storm that hit this past weekend and another mega-event scheduled for tomorrow night, I wish I could conjure up some of the excitement I know I would have felt in 1972!
