A property owner in downtown Lansdale has proposed putting more apartments into a building that already has three of them as well as some commercial uses. The proposal reviewed by the Borough Code Enforcement and Land Planning Committee Wednesday night calls for 13 units on the second and third floors of 303 - 305 West Main Street. Attorney Frank Bartle represents the property owner. He says the plans would change very little about the front facade of the building but an extensive facelift is proposed for the rear of the structure along Madison Street. The borough council committee told Bartle that his client needs to put the proposal before the Lansdale Planning Commission on March 19th before asking the Zoning Hearing Board next month for a variance from the parking space requirements downtown.
