PPL’s Joe Nixon says his company made good progress Wednesday with power restoration work, but they still have lots of things to fix.
“We have more than 3,000 trouble locations, so that’s a lot of work. It’s labor-intensive and time-intensive work.”
He says Hurricane Sandy comes in second on their all-time outage list with about 440,000 customers losing power. Hurricane Isabel in 2003 was first with 495,000.
Peco Energy’s Karen Muldoon-Geus says she understands that being without power for three or more days in a row is difficult.
“We just ask them to be patient as we go through the assessment and restoration process.”
She says they hope to have nearly everyone’s power restored by Friday night, but a few repair jobs might go into the weekend.
