Mourners Remember Sarah Majoras
She was a popular bartender who worked at John and Peter’s Bar and Restaurant in New Hope.
She died a week earlier after leaving the bar to walk across the bridge to her Lambertville home. Her body was found Wednesday, January 30, in the Delaware and Raritan Canal in Lambertville.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns said it looked like a tragic accident, but an investigation is continuing.
The mourners spent about an hour in the parking lot of the Lambertville Station Hotel and Restaurant lighting candles and listening to some of her favorite music. The songs included one called “A Fond Farewell.”
