A Philadelphia man is accused of robbing the Limerick Post Office and two Turkey Hill Mini-Marts, one in Montgomery County and one in Chester County. Marcus White was arrested last week in Maryland after police spotted him driving a car that was reported stolen in Pennsylvania. He faces federal criminal charges in Philadelphia. A 74-year-old clerk was shot and wounded during a robbery on Wednesday, June 2, at the Turkey Hill Mini-Mart on East High Street in the Sanatoga section of Lower Pottsgrove Township. Police say two men entered the store and demanded money orders from the clerk, and then one man went behind the counter, pulled a handgun and shot the clerk twice in the leg. Court documents say white admitted shooting the clerk and committing the three robberies with two accomplices. The victim’s wounds were serious, but not life-threatening. The other Turkey Hill robbery was about two hours earlier in Coatesville, and the Limerick Post Office robbery occurred on May 27.
