A Mexican immigrant accused of selling drugs in Souderton now faces federal charges for returning to the United States illegally after bring deported. The new charges against 28-year-old Alfredo Gasca-Chavez are illegal re-entry after deportation and possession of a firearm by an illegal alien. He was charged with drug and gun offenses earlier. Authorities say he was deported in 2008, but last month police found him living in an apartment on West Chestnut Street in Souderton and allegedly selling drugs along with his 22-year-old brother, Omar Gazca-Chavez, also an illegal immigrant. A search of the apartment by members of the North Penn Tactical Response Team and other law enforcement agencies turned up about 200 grams of marijuana with packaging materials, a loaded .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun and more than $8,000 in cash.
