Bucks Co Cop Killer’s Death Sentence Upheld

gavelThe Pennsylvania Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence given to confessed cop killer Robert Flor. The 43-year-old former Bedminster resident pleaded guilty to first degree murder and other offenses for killing a police officer inside a hospital emergency room.  The court found that his death sentence was handed down after a lengthy and thorough hearing where voluminous evidence was presented, and it was not based on passion, prejudice or any arbitrary factor.  Flor grabbed a police officer’s gun and opened fire in the emergency room at Saint Mary Hospital in Middletown Township in September of 2005, killing Newtown Borough Police Officer Brian Gregg, and wounding Police Officer James Warunek and Hospital Technician Joseph Epps.
