Searches Reveal More About Man Charged In Triple Murder

mcandrew2Information gained through search warrants has shed more light on Saturday’s triple murder in Upper Merion. 23-year-old Joseph McAndrew Junior (pictured here) is accused of killing his mother, father and twin brother in their home on Holstein Road in the Gulph Mills section of the township.  Court documents say he changed internet service providers because he thought his brother James was hacking into his computer, and he was upset over the breakup of an online relationship he had with a woman in Argentina.  Police also found a book titled “Dealing with Schizophrenia,” which a friend of James McAndrew said he was studying in order to better understand his brother’s illness.  Other papers found in the home may also reveal more information about the alleged killer’s mental condition.  His brother, his 70-year-old father Joseph Senior and his 64-year-old mother Susan were stabbed to death with an 18-inch dagger.
