Lansdale Stabbing Case Moving To County Court

montco_courthouseA Lansdale woman accused of stabbing a man early last month after a night of drinking has had one charge against her reduced. 31-year-old Renee Tucci is still charged with aggravated assault and other offenses.  The incident apparently started as a scuffle with another woman inside the Junction House Pub on Walnut Street, and then moved upstairs to an apartment Tucci shared with her husband.  Court documents say she found the other woman asleep on the couch and started shouting obscenities at her, and then she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband in the back while he was trying to defend the other woman.  Tucci was allegedly yelling, “You’re going to choose her over me.  You’re going to try to kick me out of my house.”  The husband and a witness disarmed her and held her down until police arrived.  At a preliminary hearing Tuesday, her lawyer said she has been in a drug and alcohol rehab program at Montgomery County Prison, staying sober for more than a month, and she has been granted release on unsecured bail on the condition that she stays out of the Walnut Street apartment and has no contact with her husband.  She will stay with a relative.  Her case now moves to Montgomery County Court, where a formal arraignment is scheduled in June.
