A Lower Providence woman has been given 10 to 23 months in Montgomery County Prison for stealing from municipal authorities in two communities. 42-year-old Linda Palermo was found guilty of theft and other offenses. She worked as administrator of the West Conshohocken Municipal Authority from 2001 until she was fired in April of last year, and she worked part-time collecting sewer payments for the Lower Gwynedd Municipal Authority from 2004 until she was fired in the spring of last year. Court documents say she stole more than $27,000 from Lower Gwynedd and $165,000 from West Conshohocken. She told police she took the money because nobody was checking on what she did, and she used it to pay personal bills.
