Man Who Struck Teen Gets 10 Days
Prosecutors say he ran a stop sign, pushed the accelerator to the floor and hit the victim on a sidewalk at Knight and Houston Roads in Lower Gwynedd after a school dance, and then sped away. Victim Robert Stevens of Ambler was thrown onto the car’s hood and roof and he fell to the pavement, suffering serious injuries.
Stevens and his friends had just left a fundraiser and dance for Ebony Dorsey, a 14-year-old Wissahickon High School freshman who was killed in December of 2007 by her mother’s boyfriend, Mark O’Donnell. He is serving life in prison without parole.
