Former Montgomery County Commissioner and District Attorney Mike Marino was allegedly assaulted over the weekend. State police say it happened around 5:00pm Sunday, May 27, at his Red Buffalo Ranch on Anders Road in Skippack Township, next to Evansburg State Park.

They say a Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources officer had made a traffic stop in a customer parking lot at the ranch when Marino questioned what he was doing.  An argument followed, Marino received a closed head wound, which means it was not bleeding, and state police listed him as the victim.  He was treated at a hospital and released.  They called the incident a simple assault, but no one has been charged and the investigation is continuing.
