A woman found dead Wednesday in the Delaware and Raritan Canal in Lambertville, New Jersey has been identified as a New Hope bartender.

39-year-old Sarah Majoras worked at John and Peter’s Bar and Restaurant in New Hope, but she was off duty and socializing with friends before leaving the bar around 2:00am Saturday, January 26.

She lived in Lambertville and walked to and from work.

The Hunterdon County Coroner’s office made the identification, and Prosecutor Anthony Kearns says it looks like a tragic accident.  There were no signs of foul play and her keys, cash and identification were in her possession.
