There’s 50 fewer pounds of pot on the streets of Montgomery County today after the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office reveals the outcome of a bust that used the strategy of wire tapping to make arrests and break-up a marijuana operation that used Norristown as its staging point for delivery. Six suspects are behind bars, including 26-year-old Ryan Gavlick and and 36-year-old Jason Bishop. According to the investigation, Gavlick used 14 cell phones to avoid detection since 2005, when he first came to the attention of police. The bust went down on March 8th when Gavlick attempted to sell pot to undercover officers. Police confiscated 50 pounds of pot, more than 23-grand in suspected drug proceeds, two firearms and various cell phones.
