A Horsham doctor is found guilty on several counts involving the illegal dispersal of prescription drugs. A Federal Jury found that Doctor Norman Werther was the conduit that unleashed 700-thousand Oxycodone tablets on the streets between 2009 and 2011. The jury also believes the 74-year-old physician gave a Montgomery County man 180 Oxycodone tablets, which eventually led to the man’s overdose in 2010. Werther’s attorney plans to appeal the case. Werther was found guilty on charges of conspiracy, money laundering and illegal distribution of Oxycodone. No word yet on a sentencing date for Werther.
