A Hatfield man faces a court hearing in connection with allegedly leading Lansdale Borough Police on a chase that eventually ended in front of his home. The August 24th incident started just before 2:30 in the morning, when a Lansdale Borough Police officers saw two men banging on the windows of a blue truck, urging Richard Handy, to get out of the vehicle. Police say, handy took off, driving around another police car at Squirrel Avenue that tried to stop him. Handy stopped at his home on Peaceful Drive, where according to police, he resisted arrest and began yelling, release the pit bulls. Handy face a on October 10th. Police say, Handy’s breathe test showed he was twice over the legal limit. His girlfriend was in the passenger’s seat. She was not charged.
