A Philadelphia man with a lengthy criminal record, including rape and robbery, is behind bars in connection with a bank robbery at the TD Bank on Bethlehem Pike, just before three, Monday afternoon.
Montgomery Township Police say, 46-year-old William Adams jumped over the counter and snatched several thousand dollars.
Adams then fled outside to a white jeep, where he took off, but was spotted by witnesses. Police say, Adams ultimately stopped the jeep after getting route-73 from route 309. Police say, Adams threw the money in the air. Adams was arrested. He’s being held at the Montgomery County Prison on 150,000 dollars bail.
Adams faces 15 criminal counts and additional offenses. Adams will be in court on December 27th for a preliminary hearing.
