Coroner: Trooper’s Wife Died From Gunshot To The Head

The Montgomery County Coroner has ruled that a pregnant East Norriton woman died as a result of a gunshot to the head. 34-year-old Jo Anna Miller died at the hospital, along with her unborn baby.

The D-A’s office says, Miller’s husband, a 7 year veteran with the State Police, was cleaning a gun when the weapon discharged, hitting his wife in the head. The incident happened last Friday afternoon at around 2:30 on the 3000 block of Stoney Creek Road. The couple’s two other children were in the home at the time. They were not injured. An investigation is being carried out by the Montgomery County D-A’s office, East Norriton Police and Montgomery County Detectives.
