Armed Man Holds Up Bank in Whitpain Twp.

Whitpain Township Police and the F.B.I are working together in search of a bank robbery suspect.

Whitpain Township Police Chief Mark Smith says, the suspect was armed when he entered the Vist bank.

“In the 1300 block of Skippack Pike, a white male gunman entered the bank. The bank opened at approximately at 8am. About 8:20 he entered the bank, he had a green mask over his face and a dark blue jacket on with a hoody pulled up top of his head. He went up, held up tellers and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.”

An accounting is underway, but it’s believed the armed suspect made off with 100,000 dollars.
