Teen Accused of Stabbing Brother Headed to Juvenile Court

A Lansdale teen accused of stabbing his brother during a June 16th incident has waived his hearing through the advice of his attorney, which will send the case back to juvenile court. The teen, according to court documents, wanted to move forward with the charges, but he would have been tried as an adult. The waiver agreement will allow the teen to be released from prison over the next ten days. The teen faces a host of charges, including felony aggravated assault. Police say, it happened in a bedroom on the 300 block of West 6th Street. The teen hurled a kitchen knife at his brother on June 16th.  The knife hit his older brother in the stomach, causing a serious injury. His brother was treated at the hospital

Man Sentenced Who Sold Gun That Killed Officer Fox

The man responsible for selling a gun that was used to take the life of Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox is sentenced to a long prison term. Thursday, in Montgomery County Court, a Judge gave Michael Henry a sentence of 20 to 66 years behind bars. The Philadelphia man plead guilty to numerous counts of selling firearms, one of which he sold to Andrew Thomas, the Lower Merion man who fatally shot Officer Fox at the end of a police chase on September 13th of last year. Thomas then turned the gun on himself. Officer Fox, a five year veteran of the Plymouth Township Police Department, was the first Officer in the Department’s history to lose his life while protecting the public.

Beer and Booze Burglary Botched By Rattling Bottles

Hilltown Township Police arrest three suspects in connection with the theft of beer. Police observed a car in the rear part of the parking lot of the Good Sheppard Episcopal church and detected that the car’s engine was warm. Officers then heard the noise of some bottles rattling from behind the church. Officers witnessed three suspects holding several cases of beer and bottles of booze. The suspects fled, but two were captured during a foot chase with officers, a third suspect who dropped his wallet later turned himself in. Police determined that the suspects broke into the German-Hungarian Club on the 1600 block of Hilltown Pike sometime before 3am Wednesday morning. Police charged 19-year-old, Cody Brent of Quakertown, 20-year-old, James Mattox of Perkasie, along with 19-year-old Brian Murphy of Sellersville with burglary, conspiracy, theft and related offenses. the trio were taken to bucks county prison after failing to post 10,000 bail.

Man Receives Prison Term For Fatal Crash in Doylestown

A Plumstead, Bucks County man’s recklessness behind the wheel will cost him 8 to 25 years of freedom. 38-year-old Drew Bodden was speeding on 611 in Doylestown last Thanksgiving Eve. Bodden’s Mustang hit a car from behind. The resulting impact killed 9-year-old Holly Huynh and critically injured her grandmother, Suzanne Berry. Police say Bodden was driving 135 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
