Police Looking For Suspect in Attempted Child Luring

Hatfield Township Police are investigating an attempted child luring in the area of Wheatfield Circle, Hatfield Borough. Police say, it happened just after 10am Monday when a 9-year-old boy was riding his bike. He was stopped by a man in a maroon work van. The suspect ordered the boy to get in the van. The boy sped away on his bike and the suspect drove off. The suspect is described as being in his mid 30’s with a salt and pepper goatee. The boy was unable to determine the suspect’s race. Police say the maroon van has damage to the front driver’s side fender. Anyone who may witnessed the incident is urged to call the Hatfield Township Police Detective Division at 215-855-0903.

Lower Salford and Police Agree On New Four Year Contract

Lower Salford Police Officers have a new four year contract that starts in 2014 through 2017. The current contract is due to expire at the end of the year. The new accord calls for a raise of 2.75 percent in the first year and a three percent increase for 2015,16 and 17. First year officers earn a salary of 52,554 dollars. The insurance portion of the contract provides an H-M-O. Officers can opt for the
P-P-O, but that plan comes at a higher cost. 

Court Date For Man who Fired Bullet at Party

It was a shot that was accidentally fired, according court documents, but the bullet sailed through the neighbor’s storm door. Lansdale Police say, it happened at a party on May 3rd on York Road when 58-year-old, Gordon Arthur, inadvertently fired at gun in his home. Arthur made an apology to the neighbor, just after the police arrived. Police determined the bullet came from a 9mm hand gun. Police filed charges, including recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. Arthur has a legal permit to carry a firearm. He faces a court date on November 20th 

Former Law library Dir. Pleads Not Guilty In Theft Case

The former Director of the Montgomery County Law Library enters a not guilty plea after being accused of stealing nearly 5,000 dollars from the law library. Authorities say, 61-year-old, Bruce Piscadlo used the money to buy personal items for himself and staff members. He’s out on 20,000 dollars bail. Piscadlco, according to court documents, carried out the theft from 2010 to 2012.
