The man responsible for selling a gun that was used to take the life of Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox is sentenced to a long prison term. Thursday, in Montgomery County Court, a Judge gave Michael Henry a sentence of 20 to 66 years behind bars. The Philadelphia man plead guilty to numerous counts of selling firearms, one of which he sold to Andrew Thomas, the Lower Merion man who fatally shot Officer Fox at the end of a police chase on September 13th of last year. Thomas then turned the gun on himself. Officer Fox, a five year veteran of the Plymouth Township Police Department, was the first Officer in the Department’s history to lose his life while protecting the public.
A Hatboro women is dead, another woman who was walking with her is listed in critical condition. The Montgomery County D-A’s office is investigating the incident that happened at around 12:17 Monday morning when Francisca Polanco and Mable Cruz were hit by a car as they walked on York road, near the intersection North York Road and Hunters Way. Polanco was pronounced dead at the scene, Cruz is in critical condition. The driver, an adult male, stopped after allegedly hitting the two women and is cooperating with the investigation.
A Plumstead, Bucks County man’s recklessness behind the wheel will cost him 8 to 25 years of freedom. 38-year-old Drew Bodden was speeding on 611 in Doylestown last Thanksgiving Eve. Bodden’s Mustang hit a car from behind. The resulting impact killed 9-year-old Holly Huynh and critically injured her grandmother, Suzanne Berry. Police say Bodden was driving 135 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
Police in Florida continue to accuse and pursue the prosecution of Lansdale resident, 59-year-old Joseph Cionzynski in connection with photos police say he took of an eight year old boy at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. Police say, the incident happened on August 2nd in a bathroom stall. The 8-year-old boy frantically rushed from the bathroom after telling his mother a man had reached under the stall and snapped some pictures of him with a cell phone. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department in Florida issued an arrest warrant after finding the pictures of the boy on Cionzynski’s cell phone. He was arraigned last Wednesday in District Court in Lansdale. On Monday he was released after posting 25-thousand dollars bail. Police in Florida also say he told them he was a scout leader.
