42-year-old Jairo Castillo, a one-time resident of the Souderton Garden Apartments will face time in prison on guilty plea. Castillo, according to court records, was involved with a 14 year old gild and a 17 year old girl in October of 2011. He was charged with various offenses, including deviate sexual intercourse and corrupting minors. Judge Joseph Smyth sentenced Castillo to a prison term of five to ten years. Castillo sexually assaulted the 14-year-old while she was babysitting. She reported the incident to police. The 17-year-old girl told police that Castillo gave her vodka to drink during a sexual encounter at his apartment. Police say, Castillo made threats to the two teens if they mentioned to anyone what had happened.
Towamencin Township Police arrest an Augusta, Georgia man on a host of charges stemming from a search of his car. Police say, 45-year-old John Foote was sitting in a car at an Exxon station on Sumneytown pike on Monday at around 2am with the lights and engine off. According to police, the odor of alcohol was detected. A further search of Foote’s car revealed drugs, including marijuana and heroin, along with pills. Officers also found a switchblade. According to records, Foote is on parole in Georgia on an involuntary manslaughter conviction. He’s being held at the Montgomery county prison after failing to post 10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is schedule for September 5th. He faces charges of possession of prohibited weapon, and drug charges.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office says a couple cooked up a scheme to obtain massive quantities of the prescription drug Adderall through the use of the identities and health insurance of two people. Court records show that the couple, from Chalfont, 42-year-old Melanie Keyser and Eric Harrell, 39-years-old, worked together in getting the Adderall with the intent to sell the prescription medication. In early may, an official with a pharmacy on North Wales Road called police in connection with the caper, after discovering that prescriptions called in were fake. The investigation found that Keyser and Harrell accumulated 5-thousand Adderall at pharmacies in Montgomery and Bucks counties. Police theorize the couple carried out the scheme from January until May. Keyser and Harrell appeared at a hearing yesterday. The couple will be arraigned on September 25th.
Pennsylvania State Police say a 56-year-old man looked in to a home in Worcester Township without any clothing. State Police say Anthony Wall walked to a nearby residence, but first removed his clothing. The incident happened at around 11pm August 2nd. According to Police, the homeowner gave chase, but wall ran through a wooded area. Wall was arrested on August 3rd and charged with open lewdness, indecent exposure, prowling at night and additional offenses. He was released on 10-thousand dollars bail. Wall will be in court on august 28th for a preliminary hearing.
